Mental Health Awareness

Mental health awareness is an important issue for all educators.  A student’s mental health can have a profound impact on learning and achievement.  This mini-conference is designed to bring staff together from across the Greater Kansas City area in an effort to create a collaborative space where ideas will be generated and shared collaboratively to promote quality school mental health support systems.  Topics presented include information regarding the components of mental health, brain based interventions for working with students, restorative approaches and ways to connect with community partnerships and resources.

Recommended audience: Administrators, counselors, social workers, teachers.

There is no charge for this conference.  Lunch is on your own.
