February 8, 2016
8:00 am - 3:00 pm
“The True Value of Place Value” (grades 3-7) – Place Value is the key to understanding numbers and, in turn, efficient computational strategies. But it is also the springboard to so much more including measurement and time, fractions, ratios, proportional thinking, and slope. Join Greg for an in-depth look at the progression of important base 10 strategies, skills and standards, and see how a strong foundational understanding is the key to the higher-order thinking skills needed for middle and high school math.
