This is a two-day workshop and you must commit to attend the follow-up workshop on Wednesday, January 14, 2015.  Registering for the October 28 workshop will automatically register you for the January 14 workshop.

This workshop is free for PDN members.

Workshop Description:  Participants will begin by discussing the Outcomes of Understanding, a set of markers that indicate whether students understand deeply.  In addition, participants will learn about an observation tool they can use with colleagues to analyze classroom discourse and will receive several tools students can use to reflect on their oral language interactions with other students.  In the afternoon, participants will have an opportunity to view a demonstration with local students that brings the content into focus for classroom implementation.
