Agenda

Dan Meyer will describe research-based methods for instilling in students a need for new learning. Participants will learn how to make the Common Core State Standards’ modeling practice accessible to students, resulting in engagement and higher achievement.  As part of their work, Meyer and the participants will construct a website full of resources, including a document of “rules for the road” – easily implemented techniques for putting students in that state of intellectual need. That website will remain online after the presenter’s on-site work is complete.  An example can be found here:  http://shrewsbury13.mrmeyer.com/
