Learning Labs – The Structure That Supports Professional Development and Teacher Growth (6th – 12th grades)

Date:  November 18-19, 2015
This is a two-day workshop and you must commit to attend the follow-up workshop on Thursday, November 19, 2015.  Registering for the November 18 workshop will automatically register you for the November 19 workshop.

During this two-day workshop, participants will observe an actual Learning Lab. Cris Tovani will model reading strategies with secondary students while Sam Bennett shows participants how to facilitate the lab model in their buildings. This two-day workshop will highlight the use of learning targets to get and give feedback. Participants who did not attend the June workshops are warmly welcomed to join and learn more about Learning Labs and how they energize teachers so they have more stamina, growth, and success with students.

Who should attend:  This workshop is recommended for teachers who want to collaborate with colleagues, administrators who want to provide sustainable professional development and district leaders who are working for systemic change.

Lunch will be on your own.
