Leadership Team Update on Summer Trainings (2 hours)

Sue Gendron and Debbie Miller will provide an overview of the work accomplished during the summer academy for the district leadership teams in attendance.

Smarter Balanced In-depth Exploration (remainder of the day)

Leadership teams will receive the latest information about the development of the Smarter Balanced Assessment system through a hands-on examination of the achievement level expectations for each grade level, modification to the assessment items as a result of the spring 2013 pilot assessment and a review of Smarter’s new practice assessment for grades 3-8 and high school.

Determining your needs for the remainder of the sessions

Many of our districts having been deeply involved in the implementation of the CCSS and as such we want to gather your input as to what will be most useful for the remainder of the sessions. Each team will complete a survey at this session that will shape the remainder of the sessions.
